A swimsuit to fit "every body." Designed by "Jersey Girls" and made by the women of Peru....

Origins... the Bio

Passport to Peru Imports, LLC. and the Passport swimwear line was "born" on the beaches of the "Jersey Shore" in August of 2006 by "Jersey Girls" who had a vision to bring beautiful fully-lined swimwear inspired by the nature of the exotic land of Peru and its people to the United States onto 33 colors of 100% Brazilian Lycra, hand-embroidered and appliquéd by the women of Peru.

Over the last two years, the company has prospered and fell into a great little "niche" of mothers and their daughters working together. Beverly Beveridge, founder of the Passport swim line, asked her daughter, Brittany, to assist her in designing these suits (Britt now designs the "‘teen line") upon their return from a visit to Peru with a friend and native Peruvian in 2006.

Melissa, Bev’s other daughter, visited boutiques in the area, talked to friends, and researched styles to create her own design and created the first "Cruise Line" in 2008. The "Cruise Line" which is very nautical and uses navy, red and white, comes hand-sewn with creative "hardware" attached to the suits such as shells from Peruvian beaches to buttons and "‘rings" from both the coconut and coffee trees of Peru. Recently, another mother and daughter have joined the Passport team - the mom, Denise, and her daughter, Erica, now also work with Passport designing and selling these swimsuits. And, Eileen, who doesn’t have a daughter, jumps right in there to help wherever and whenever she can from sales to attending trade shows with Bev and Britt.

Passport swimsuits can be found in upscale boutiques both at their home "shore" and others including a resort in Barbuda, West Indies. Passport is also now being recognized by major national retailers. The company has been recognized by Biltmore’s Who’s Who Among Executives and Professional Women and the 2008 Honors Edition, the National Association of Professional and Executive Women registry for "Women of Excellence" and Beverly Beveridge as one of the top ten new women business owners in Central New Jersey in November of 2007 by NAWBO. Passport and its models has been featured in the Asbury Park Press twice, 1010 WINS Radio, NJ My Way (April 1st, 2008) and Channel 9 and soon on Channel 11. Beverly was also nominated to the Board of NAWBO as the Chair of the Retention Committee. Also, WBENC certification is in the final stages of completion.

Passport includes a children’s and men’s line and a very extended teen and women’s line which includes, bikinis (with and without pockets), tankinis, one-pieces, skirtinis, and shorts with matching skirts, caps and totes offered in 33 vibrant colors – and counting! The line also includes pregnancy tops and a brand new for the Summer of 2008 – The Breast Cancer Survival Suit ("Survivor Suits") requested by the doctors of Englewood Hospital in New Jersey, and having the input of actual survivors.

Passport Swimwear made by the women of Peru and designed by "Jersey Girls" - truly has a suit to fit "every body.
